Agronomic Traits

Dormancy: Medium

Initial Growth: Fast and vigorous emergence, dense canopy

Fertilization:

  • 200–240 kg/ha Nitrogen (moderate level to avoid excessive canopy growth)

  • 250 kg/ha Potassium at planting

  • Additional small dose of potassium is recommended

Herbicide Tolerance:

  • Metribuzin (Sencor): Sensitive – apply only pre-emergence

  • Alternative: Bentazon (Basagran) and mechanical weed control recommended

Plant Protection & Cultivation Recommendations

Seed Treatment: Requires careful planting due to strong apical dominance. Pre-planting treatment is advised against Rhizoctonia and silver scurf.

Disease Resistance:

  • Resistant to Ro1 potato cyst nematode

  • Immune to wart disease (Fysio 1)

  • Strong resistance to both foliage and tuber blight

  • Slightly susceptible to common scab and silver scurf

Harvest & Storage

Harvest: Allow at least 3 weeks after haulm killing for proper skin set. Handle with care to avoid rotting.

Storage: Should be stored at a stable temperature and low humidity. Gradual cooling is effective in preventing silver scurf development.
